Tell us about your blog

Jayendra:

Destinationbucket is a multi-content blog where you can get interesting information about Travel, Technology, Gaming, Entertainment and much more. Hi everyone my name is Jayendra Patil and I am from Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. I started this blog before 5 years ago that time I don’t know anything about blogging, I just started this blog for just curiosity on How website are works? But then I love this platform where anyone can share their experiences to the world.

After completing my high school education I do some programming courses like HTML and JavaScript and while doing this courses I feel very curious about how websites are created? This curiosity force me to create my own website and its name is destinationbucket. So curiosity is very important in our life because it’s makes us to create something unique.

Sonika:

What made you start your own blog? Tell us your story behind it.

Jayendra:

I started this blog 5 years ago, at the time blogger was a very popular platform for personal blogging and I just started to write articles on it because I want to know how websites are works, how it’s designed and developed. This curiosity led to destinationbucket.com and now it’s improving day by day.

Sonika:

What makes you happiest as a blogger?

Jayendra:

As a blogger, when people appreciate my work it makes me feel happy. Many people comment and mail me to appreciate my work and this appreciation encourage me to write more and more articles that helps others to know something different and unique things.

Sonika:

What are the future plans for your blog?

Jayendra:

In the future, I want to make my blog more user-friendly and I am also planning to help small content creators or bloggers who work hard. Become a blogger is very easy, but become a professional blogger is not so easy. For new bloggers ranking their articles on Google’s first page is not very easy and for this, I just want to help those bloggers who write amazing and helpful content but their content can’t reach out to most of the people. Through this platform, I want to help them to reach their quality content to more audiences.

Sonika:

What was your biggest challenge as a blogger?

Jayendra:

I write blogs for helping others and spreading some interesting and useful information with people, so there are no any challenges for me. I just write because it’s my hobby!

Sonika:

How do you drive traffic to your blog?

Jayendra:

Driving traffic on the blog is a very important factor of every blogger. There are many sources of traffic that can increase your readers and page views. For traffic, I use social media sites like Twitter, Pinterest, and Facebook, some other platforms like Medium, Flipboard, Quora, stumble upon (Mix), digger, and Reddit.

Sonika:

If you started all over again, what mistake would you avoid?

Jayendra:

I avoid writing news related posts on my blog, because news related articles are only showed on Google for a specific period of time like one to four days, but if we write articles on Travel, Technology and Food then Google shows them for a lifetime. So write your articles on most evergreen topics.

Sonika:

What advice do you have for new bloggers?

Jayendra:

Have patience and write good quality content with high-quality images in it. Don’t concentrate on earning money from your blog, just write those articles which help others, then readers automatically start engaging with you day by day. Use interlink and outer link in your articles and write a good meta description which Google uses to show on search results.

Sonika:

Who is your favorite blogger and why?:

Jayendra:

The creator of shoutmeloud blog Harsh Agarwal is my favorite blogger because every article of his is very informative and helpful. He writes only those articles which can help others and that’s why most of his articles are situated at the top position of Google search results.

Sonika:

How can the readers contact you?

Jayendra:

Readers can send an email to patiljayendra24@gmail.com

Sonika:

Alright Jayendra, it was a pleasure talking to you. Thank you for spending the time with us. We wish you all the best for your blog and your future.
