About
I started this blog back in 2010, and it would be putting it mildly to say that things have changed a lot since then.

At the time, I was just finishing up University in Toronto, where I graduated with a degree in Geography, and a focus on geology and GIS studies. After seven years of living in the city, I took off to travel full time, not really having a home base. It was a crazy few years of galavanting from country to country, and it kind of became a blur of long flights, mismatched time zones, and overflowing passports.

And, to be honest, it all started to feel a little monotonous, and I lost that initial culture shock that I used to crave. It was as if the unusual became usual, and going home was my vacation from travel.

Somewhere along the way, I met my boyfriend Wade, and eventually settled into a little rural Ontario beach town called Southampton. Since then, we’ve been going on plenty of local adventures, and living life at “The Funny Farm” with our three dogs.

These days, I love staying close to home, and feel most comfortable when I can just relax in our backyard. Of course, you can’t just take the girl out of the airplane, and we still go on regular trips abroad.

This blog is a place for past travel tales, crazy current adventures, and future frolics around the world.

Thanks for following along,
